Expanding Horizons Through External Partnerships

The goal of external partnerships at St. James Academy is not just to prepare students to perform at the highest levels in their chosen careers and avocations, but also to develop the whole person through an understanding of each individual’s responsibilities to the broader community. This endeavor to refine thinking skills that will have a direct application in society and in business, enhances teacher's efforts to show students how to offer their time, talents and treasures for the benefit of others.

Community Service Partnerships

These partnerships are designed for students to engage in community-service projects through cooperation with a variety of organizations dedicated to serving those in special need of help. The students cherish their experience and marvel at the difference they can make.

Catholic Adult & Youth Ministries

These ministries are open to all Catholics including young children, teenagers and adults, who seek continued spiritual growth, guidance and enlightenment. On-going Catholic adult formation is a critical part of this.

Business Partnerships

Many well-respected local businesses have established alliances with St. James Academy to provide needed services and assistance or to offer support through financial sponsorships. Professional business people in a variety of fields have also consulted with school administrators to develop curricula that is most appropriate and advantageous for students to apply in future, real-world work environments.

College & University Partnerships

Higher education partnerships give St. James students a taste of college life and expectations. They may take the form of school visits, participation in college-credit courses, or attendance at seminars conducted by college or university professors or administrators.
