Standardized Testing
Drink plenty of water the morning of the tests; it gets the brain moving! There are no retesting opportunities for students that do not show or who are ill.
- What to bring: Two No. 2 pencils
Calculator (no sharing allowed)
PSAT
PSAT Bulletin/practice test will be distributed to students 2-3 weeks prior to the test.

- PSAT Components: critical reading skills (2 25-minute sections, 48 questions), math problem-solving skills (2 25-minutes sections, 38 questions), writing skills (30 minutes, 39 questions)

PLAN
This is a practice test for the ACT • Students will also complete a career inventory and needs assessment • Score will be returned in early January • Score range is 1-32 for the entire test
Testing Components
- English – 30 minutes, 50 questions - punctuation, grammar & usage, sentence structure, strategy, organization, and style
- Mathematics – 40 minutes, 40 questions – pre-algebra, elementary algebra, coordinate geometry, and plane geometry
- Reading – 20 minutes, 25 questions – prose fiction, humanities, social sciences
- Science – 25 minutes, 30 questions – data representation, research summaries, and conflicting viewpoints
