SJA Community: Lady Thunder punched their ticket to the final four last night in impressive style. Although we still feel we are not quite there, we looked very sharp in many areas in a convincing victory against a good team. Although the score was 6-0, and without disrespect to a good Seaman team, there could have been several more goals. Our defense for the most part was very well organized, and we created many chances by controlling the midfield, switching the field and points of attack. We also looked very dangerous on our set plays...all in all the most complete game of the season. We play Wichita - Kapaun Mt. Carmel, the team we defeated in the State championship this Friday night at Bethel College in Newton, KS, either at 5pm or 7pm. We will post the times, and you can see the seeds in the rankings section of the girls soccer team site section of the SJA website, as soon as posted. Aquinas and Hayden also won...there are three teams down there who all have unique reasons to beat us! This is going to be a great final four, regardless of the outcome...by the way, I think Lady Thunder is a pretty motivated group of ladies, ready to defend the state crown...it's going to be fun!
