Development

Student tuition constitutes approximately 75% of the cost to educate a student at St. James Academy. Thanks to the generosity of our parishes, another 7-10% is covered by parish subsidy. The Development Office is responsible for acquiring additional resources which keep tuition lower and provide financial assistance to students in need. Development also takes a role in coordinating future capital campaigns, thereby expanding the unique Catholic instructional environment that will help students maximize their high school experience.

Please consider becoming a partner in creating and maintaining St. James Academy’s excellent, faith-filled school. To discuss new or existing gift sources through annual funds, major gifts, endowments, memorials, special gifts, planned gifts, or any other possible support, please contact the Development Office at (913)254-4228.

A Foundation Board assists the President of St. James Academy, and the Development Office, by promoting the various opportunities available to our many supporters. Another function of this group is to network for new contacts and resources. Chairman of the Foundation is Mr. Mike Mahoney. Also participating are Tim Arnold, Keith Sevedge, Jason Phelps, Rick Maner, Terri McCourt, Tony Sabatino, Mike Jansen, Ryan Plattner, Gabe Brown and Rich Bartlett.
