Christian Stewardship
Our students are asked to complete a Christian Stewardship Project which includes picking one service agency, working with that agency, writing about their experiences and creating a Keynote or iMovie presentation to give to their theology class.
Please contact Sr. Bridget (913) 254-4200 if you have questions or concerns.
Philosophy
Our identity as Christians includes a fundamental call to stewardship. In 1992 the U.S. Bishops defined Christian stewardship as “one who receives God’s gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible manner, shares them in justice and love with others and returns them with increase to the Lord.” This is the foundation on which our Christian Stewardship Program is constructed and it is designed to be much more than the mere accumulation of service hours. A deeply meaningful stewardship project is one that has been the subject of deep reflection and prayer. It is to this end that the following has been set forth in three parts: Learning, Listening and Sharing
